Public Folder Shuttle is a powerful, intelligent solution for public folder analysis and migration. The solution is able to move legacy data into the most appropriate target in Office 365, using a highly automated approach.

Public Folder Shuttle analyzes characteristics within data hierarchies, and repositories in Exchange public folders, and classifies their contents. Once analysis is complete, the solution predicts where the data should be placed, provisions the relevant targets (like Office 365 groups, or shared mailboxes etc.), and migrates the selected information to the chosen destination. The solution can also find obsolete data and is able to remove or archive it as required.

A. PFS uses a patent pending technology to suggest the most appropriate target for your data.  That could be: Modern Public Folders, Office 365 Groups, Office 365 Shared Mailboxes, or PST files.

A. PFS automates the process of determining which Public Folders should be targeted towards Groups. The solution automatically creates the Group, migrates the data with permissions, and can disable the source.  This is all conducted within a single console, without the need for input files or scripts – the Microsoft tool does not do this – it is much more manual (find out more here).

A. No, PFS cannot migrate to SharePoint Online, however, it can migrate data to Office 365 Groups.

A. PFS is Subscription as a Service (SaaS) so the local requirements are minimal.  A 2012 R2 or above on-premises server or virtual server is all that is required to host the PFS modules.

A. PFS uses Quadrotech’s Advanced Ingestion Protocol (AIP) to facilitate the migration. This proven technology provides a very fast path into Office 365.
