One of the standout insights from the recent Practical 365 Survey was a desire for expert guidance on Office 365 management challenges, particularly those relating to post-migration setup as Global Admins adjust to life in the cloud.
The Practical site is a vibrant, go-to source of information for IT pros all over the world, and it’s no surprise this request resonated with me, seeing as I lead the development of Quadrotech’s Office 365 management software.
Helping customers get to grips with the post-migration landscape is an area I’m very familiar with, so I caught up with Mike Weaver to offer a few tips in this short video:
Mastering Office 365 Management
As discussed, the tools and ways of working that you may have become accustomed to in on-prem environments don’t necessarily map over to Office 365, so it’s natural to explore new methods for maintaining your IT infrastructure.
For enterprise-level organizations, fully embracing the Microsoft cloud presents a need to provision:
- Consolidated reporting: The ability to analyze licenses, usage service adoption, security settings, permissions, mail flow, etc., will help inform business decisions to ensure you’re maximizing your investment
- Delegated access control: Enabling role-based access control and granular policy settings frees up precious time for IT teams, allowing them to focus on more critical matters
- Data center monitoring: As your servers are no longer on-prem, being able to automatically monitor Office 365 workload availability will help you pinpoint and resolve issues much faster than manual checks.
As luck would have it, these are three of the pillars within Nova, as well as the ability to perform tenant to tenant migrations and run sophisticated Adoption Accelerator campaigns.
