8 Aug 2013 by Emma Robinson

Creating regular milestone and progress reports during an IT project is often quite time consuming for IT professionals who are already juggling many roles and responsibilities.
Many of our customers use Cogmotive Reports, our Office 365 reporting application, to streamline and automatically track the progress of their Office 365 migration. We spoke with some of these customers and thought it was a great idea to share some of their wisdom in this article to help you manage your own Office 365 migration.

Scheduled Reports

Most IT Projects require regular monthly or weekly status reports and these reports usually need to be emailed to a project manager. With Cogmotive Reports you can configure any report to be emailed out in CSV or PDF format automatically on a regular basis.

Mobile Devices

One of the biggest shifts in enterprise IT is the Bring Your Own Device movement. IT Administrators are finding it increasingly difficult to track and manage the myriad of mobile devices that employees are connecting to their communications environments.
Our Mobile Device reports can be used to determine what kinds of mobile devices each employees have and whether or not they have the correct security policies applied.

Some industries have strict compliance rules about how long certain types of data needs to be stored. Luckily Office 365 retention policies can take care of this for you, but it is still up to System Administrators to ensure that the correct policies are applied to the correct users.
Our Retention Policy and Litigation Hold reports show you exactly which policies are applied to each user.
