Upcoming Product Release: Tenant-to-Tenant Cloud Migrations

11 Sep 2017 by Alan Byrne

We are excited to announce the imminent release of Quadrotech Cloud Commander, our new tenant-to-tenant cloud migration tool! Cloud Commander solves the problem of combining multiple Office 365 tenants into one or splitting one tenant into multiple.

This is perfect for:

  • Merger, Acquisition & Divestures
  • Tenant Relocation (into country specific offerings or geo moves)
  • Consolidating multiple tenants & Domain consolidation projects

One of the major features that organizations love about Microsoft Office 365 is that there are effectively no data limits on users. While this is a great feature, when it comes to moving data, this can be a huge challenge.

At this time, Microsoft provides no cross-tenant migration assistance or options. Organizations also have limited migration options from third-party vendors and many are quite slow. Some organizations have had to move back to a temporary on-premises system prior to moving back out to their new Office 365 tenant. In addition, the growing complexity of data used within Office 365 with applications such as Groups, Teams, and Planner, means that old techniques based on mailbox and document migration are no longer as useful as they once were.

These two problems: large amounts of data and limited migration options, inspired Cloud Commander.

Quadrotech Cloud Commander solves this problem with ease. In addition, we will offer Tenant Coexistence, allowing the two user communities to keep calendar and free/busy data in sync.

Quadrotech customers depend on our Advanced Ingestion Protocol (AIP), which has the ability to move data at amazing speeds.  We are excited to bring this feature to our cross-tenant product to maintain amazing data migration velocity!

Quadrotech Cloud Commander will be formally launched at Microsoft Ignite in Orlando, and is the first of our Ignite product announcements. We are excited to bring this offering, and others, to our customers and partners.  Stop by booth #119 to view a Cloud Commander demo!
