There are various reasons why it’s important to keep an eye on SharePoint Online usage. Whether it’s quota management, adoption issues, or monitoring activity/inactivity of sites, getting a detailed breakdown of how your organization’s SharePoint site usage can help you understand and manage your environment better.

Our team have been working on finding even better ways to show SharePoint usage and this is the first report created from these efforts. The new Site Usage Report shows aggregate usage by site and is a great way to get a sense of the most active sites within a SharePoint ecosystem.

The report is fairly straight forward – for any given site, the table will show when the site was last active, how many ‘Page Views’ it received and the number of ‘Pages Visited’, as well as storage data.As with all of the reports, the columns in the table can be toggled on or off (via the ‘Show/Hide Columns’ button, and the information can be customized, filtered and scheduled. All the reports options can be found in the top right-hand corner.Radar for SharePoint Online provides detailed, customisable reporting that can help you manage storage, security and permissions settings for your environment.

If you’re a Radar for SharePoint Online subscriber, you can try this new report now – simply log into your account here.
