Mail Traffic Statistics Report – Office 365 Reports
We are pleased to announce that we are now able to provide mail traffic reports to Cogmotive Reports customers. These new reports give Office 365 customers the ability to analyse the amount and type of mail traffic entering and leaving an organisation.
This has been one the most requested features by our Cogmotive Reports customers.
When you initially browse to the mail traffic report you will be presented with the above default view.
The default graph shows you an overview of the number of messages sent and received by your Office 365 tenant over the previous 30 day period.
You can use the navigation buttons under the graph to see a more detailed day by day break down in either a Line or Column graph.
When in the detailed Mail Traffic view you can click on the greyed out SPAM entries in the legend to view how much SPAM your company is receiving or even sending.
An additional Spam and Malware report breaks these up into a more detailed report.
We keep this mail traffic reporting information for up to a year to help you identify usage patterns over a larger time period. This is very useful when doing capacity planning or during a migration from an On Premise mail platform to Office 365.
Like all our reports, you can have this automatically emailed to you on a scheduled basis in either PDF or CSV format.
This report only works for Office 365 customers using the new version of Office 365. If you’re on the old version you will automatically get access to these reports as soon as your tenant is upgraded to Wave 15.
We are also working to break this information down even further to show how much mail is being sent and received by individual users and hope to be able to provide you with more granular information in the future. Unfortunately there are limitations on the information we are currently able to retrieve out of Office 365 but hope that this will change soon.
