G’day Sydney! – Microsoft Ignite the Tour
We’re going to the land down under for Microsoft Ignite the Tour! Our team will be there to share their expertise and discuss our market-leading Office 365 reporting, management and migration solutions. If you’ve never been to Sydney before and want to learn more about the iconic Australian city, or what to do when you’re in town for Ignite, here’s a quick guide.
Ignite the Tour – Sydney
Microsoft Ignite the Tour is being held at the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Sydney, 13-14 February, 2019. The ICC is an impressive venue overlooking stunning views of the Darling Harbour, which is perfect if you want some fresh air and a break during the event. Check out the panorama shot from their balcony here.
As the ICC is in a central location, you are spoilt for choice for great restaurants to check out whilst you’re in the area. The Ternary is a top Australian restaurant located in a hotel just a 5-minute walk from the venue, with gorgeous views of the skyline and a menu to complement! Or if you just want a post-event drink then head over to the bar for traditional Aussie cocktails, beers or wines.
Whilst you’re in Sydney for Ignite, you might want to brush up on your Aussie slang. Here’s some of our favourites:
- Barbie: meaning “barbecue”, a typical Australian cuisine
- Arvo: meaning “afternoon”
- Mozzie: meaning “mosquito”
- Sweet as: meaning “awesome”
- Ripper: meaning “really great”, e.g. Archive Shuttle is a ripper email archive migration tool.

Come and meet the Quadrotech team
As ever, we’ll be there with our famous ‘Quadrobulls’, ready to meet technology industry professionals and hand out some #QuadroSwag.
Our incredibly popular Quadroslots game will also be at stand P09, so drop by for your chance to win one of many prizes up for grabs!
Our speaker session for this event will be on the subject of “Office 365 – Your Technical Journey” presented by our SVP of Customer Success, Tony Sterling. In this short presentation we will look at approaches to migration that minimize user impact whilst considering complex issues such as shared calendars, delegated rights, and new capabilities such as Teams and Delve.
