A festive round-up from Cogmotive
As we get to that festive time of year again, and prepare to eat, drink and be merry, I wanted to take a quick look over the past 12 months, and some of the highlights for Cogmotive in 2016.
More features, more reports, and one brand new product
We added more than 20 new features and reports to Cogmotive Reports this year, spread across the entire product suite. If you want to see what’s been added to the application recently, log in to your account and check out the ‘What’s New’ timeline for details.
We also launched a brand new product – Cogmotive’s Discover & Audit captures all user activity, and stores the data historically, so you have a complete audit trail for your cloud environment. We’ve had great feedback about Discover & Audit so far as new and existing customers alike subscribe and we learn more about the wide range of use cases and customer needs for their auditing data. We have more features and functionality planned for this module to make it even more powerful in the coming months.
We’ve grown. A lot.
There was a very big difference between our Christmas party last year, and the one that took place last night. Our team has more than tripled since this time last year, which is an achievement worth celebrating – and we certainly did that.
If you also attended Microsoft Ignite in September this year, then you’ll know what an exciting, interesting, and tiring event it turned out to be. We had an awesome time, saw loads of familiar faces, and many new ones too. We also announced some big news – our decision to join the QUADROtech Group. Work is well underway to combine and extend the Cogmotive and QUADROtech technologies, and there is lots planned for 2017 – stay tuned for more exciting updates!
The Resource Center
Building on the success and interest we’ve seen through the blog, at the start of this year we launched a brand new resource center. We wanted to create a space that’s packed with useful information – you’ll find how-to guides with handy PowerShell scripts and Office 365 tips, we have white papers – like our ‘Ultimate Guide to Reporting’, and if you’re not a fan of reading, there’s always our on-demand webinars which cover a range of different topics.
With the new year just round the corner, here’s a taste of what’s coming to Cogmotive Reports:
- Does your organisation have lots of Public Folders. Wouldn’t it be good to find out more about how they’re being used? Soon, we’ll be adding detailed reporting on public folder content, hierarchy, and usage.
- Managing SharePoint Online Permissions can be a real headache, so we will be adding a report which enables you to enumerate SharePoint permissions within groups.
- We know Data Loss Prevention is a big concern for you, which is why we are adding more DLP reports in 2017.
Our development team have much more planned for next year, so make sure you watch this space for more features, updates and reports.
Everyone at Cogmotive would like to wish you all the best for the holiday season, and a happy, healthy new year! We hope you continue to read and enjoy our blog in 2017 – we think it’s going to be our best year yet!
